Accessibility
Last updated: July 17, 2026
Eco Solutions is committed to making The Liquid Network usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies. This statement covers our public website (theliquidnetwork.ca) and our member Portal, describes the standard we work toward, what we have in place today, and how to reach us if something isn’t working for you.
Our commitment
The Liquid Network exists to help snow-and-ice contractors adopt liquid de-icing, and that only works if every contractor, station host, and visitor can actually use our services. We treat keyboard and screen-reader accessibility as design requirements, not enhancements, and we consider accessibility when we build new features — not only after the fact.
The standard we work toward
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. WCAG is the internationally recognized standard for accessible web content, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
Eco Solutions is based in Milton, Ontario, and we are committed to meeting our obligations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and its Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation.
Our website and Portal are under active development, and we have not yet completed a formal third-party accessibility audit. We describe our sites as working toward WCAG 2.1 AA conformance rather than claiming full conformance today. This page will be updated as that work progresses.
What we do today
Measures currently in place across the public website and member Portal include:
- Accessible component foundations. Our interfaces are built on component primitives designed for accessibility, providing appropriate ARIA roles, keyboard interaction, and focus management for dialogs, menus, tooltips, and form controls.
- Keyboard operability. Interactive elements are reachable and operable by keyboard, with visible focus indicators so you can always see where you are on the page.
- Screen-reader support. We use semantic HTML (headings, landmarks, buttons, and links used for their intended purpose), text alternatives on informative images, labelled form inputs, and screen-reader announcements for dynamic content such as loading states.
- Responsive design. Pages adapt to different screen sizes and support browser zoom without loss of content or functionality.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is never finished. Work planned or in progress includes adding automated accessibility checks to our development process, testing with assistive technologies such as screen readers, formalizing colour-contrast and focus-state standards in our design system, and periodic reviews of new features against WCAG 2.1 AA. Where we find issues, we prioritize fixing them.

You can also reach us through our contact page. When reporting an accessibility problem, it helps to include the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and the browser and assistive technology you were using — but none of that is required.
This statement will be updated as our accessibility work progresses.
